The Executive Agency “Maritime Administration” is the competent authority of the Republic of Bulgaria responsible for the regulation, supervision and development of the maritime sector in accordance with national legislation and international standards, including the IMO conventions.

History
The Maritime Administration of Bulgaria has a long tradition in the management of the maritime sector, which dates back to the establishment of the first maritime institutions in the country.
IMO & Bulgaria
Bulgaria has been an IMO Member State since 1960. The country actively participates in IMO work and supports global efforts for safer, cleaner and more secure seas.
